Premium News: 8 & Counting…

Yep - that’s right people… We have just released our 8th theme on Premium News already, making it 8 releases in about 5 months’ time. The new theme is called Fresh News (more info here) and it continues to push the limits of what WordPress can & can’t do. This will most probably be our last magazine / news style theme for the foreseeable future (we’re working on some groundbreaking new stuff here…), but judging by the popularity of Flash News, Gazette & Live Wire in recent months - we just felt like adding another valuable option to our product range.

Fresh NewsThe credit for the theme & 90% of the development goes to Magnus Jepson, who has taken the style of his previous Flash News theme to the next level in order to come up with this super-slick, yet sophisticated new look. There’s two key features of this theme that I’d like to emphasize, since I feel that they’re pretty cool and will contribute hugely to the success of the theme. The first one is the traditional blog layout that we have included - which allows to user to change his / her homepage to look and function like a normal blog, without eliminating all the other great features we’ve built into the theme. And the second feature has got to be the 6 great colour schemes that Magnus has designed and packaged with the default one on display with the demo site.

Except for those two features, we’ve pretty much included all the features and functions that has become synonymous with the Premium News brand - so you can be assured of a top-notch experience if you decide to purchase the theme. We were definitely not trying to reinvent the wheel with this release; instead the focus was on adding another design style to our existing range to increase the options available to potential buyers.

So what do you think of the theme? I really love the design - the subtle gradients especially - and I’m of the believe that this theme could become one of our most popular yet…
